STOPPER, WIRED, WEDGED
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item
Description for all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers the requirement for wired stoppers to be used to provide security for personnel and equipment in operations invoking steep ascents by placing the wired stoppers into cracks in rocks.
2. CLASSIFICATION. The wired stoppers shall be furnished in the following sizes as specifed:
