Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation, Product Demonstration
Models will be retained by the government. One (l) Product Demonstration Mode1 approved by
DSCP under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding
production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are advised that the Product
Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in
accordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above.
5.3 Examination. Lots of suspender shal1 he inspected in accordance with " Sampling
Procedures and Tables f or Inspection by Attributes', ANSI/ASQC Z1.4, published by the
American Society for Quality Control and shall be inspected for the defects listed below:
5.3.1 Defects. The suspenders shall be inspected for the following defects: Any hole, cut,
tear, smash, broken or missing yarn or open place; color not as specified; any spot or stain
{outside; thread ends not removed; measurement of item not as specified. Webbing, nylon or
elastic with a hole, cut tear, or smash; not firmly and tightly woven, edges frayed or scalloped
(nylon); multiple floats or other misweave; abrasion mark, slub, or broken end or pick; cut ends
not fused as specified. Hardware broken or malformed failing to serve intended purpose, corroded
area, burr or sharp edge; finish omitted or not as specified; area of no finish, not assembled as
specified; not specified style, type or size. Any open seam 1/2 inch or more. Any component part
omitted or not as specified. Front straps not positioned through 1-inch non-slip buckle and elastic
keeper as indicated in figure 1. " US" and identification markings omitted, incorrect, illegible, or
misplaced. Bar code omitted or not readable by scanner, human-readable interpretation (HRI)
omitted or illegible; bar code not visible on folded, packaged item, bar code causes damage to the
item; any items not packaged in accordance with the contract or purchase area.
Inadequate
application of components, such as: incomplete closure of container flaps, loose strapping,
improper taping or inadequate stapling. The finished suspenders shall conform to the dimensions
specified in figure 1. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified
as a defect. Items not packaged in accordance with the contract or purchase order.
5.4 Acceptance criteria. Acceptance criteria shall be as specified in the contract or purchase
order.
6. PACKAGING
6.1 Preservation, Packing and Marking. The preservation, packing, and marking shall be as
specified in the contractor or order.
