3.2 Examination of the end item. The belts shall be inspected in accordance with HIL-STD-105. The defects found during the examination of the end item shall be classified as below. The applicable inspection levels and acceptable quality levels (AQL’s) shall be as indicated in 3.2.3. The lot size shall be expressed in units of belts. Sample unit shall be one belt.
3.2.1 Visual examination. The belts shall be examined for defects classified in accordance with the list below:

3.2.2 Dimensional examination. The belts shall be examined for defects in dimension in accordance with the following:
a. Maximum adjustable length less than 42 inches.
b. Minimum adjustable length more than 25 inches.
c. Adjustable buckle or female fastener loop, less than 1–3/4 inches or greater than 2-1/4 inches long.
d. Webbing width not as specified.
e. All other Figure 1 dimensions not within specified tolerance.
